On September 3, you can enjoy S. Gulak-Artemovsky's opera "Zaporozhets za Danube" at the National Opera of Ukraine.

He first appeared on the stage of the "Zaporozhets za Danube" theater in December 1934. During the more than eighty-year history of the existence of the opera on the Kyiv stage, the leading parts in it were performed by almost all the luminaries of Ukrainian opera art, such as I. Patorzhynskyi, M. Donets, A. Kikot, M. Shopsha, H. Krasulya, V. Hrytsyuk, M. Lytvynenko -Wolgemut, O. Petrusenko, V. Lyubimova, E. Kolesnyk, H. Tsypola, V. Tretyak, A. Solovyanenko, V. Fedotov, Yu. Gulyaev, D. Hnatiuk and many others.

Currently, the production of the opera "Zaporozhets za Danube" on the stage of the National Opera of Ukraine is being performed in new stage and musical editions created by the theater's chief director Anatoly Solovyanenko and composer Myroslav Skoryk (musical edition). The chief artist of the theater, Maria Levitska, created more than 250 costumes and almost 3000 square meters of paintings especially for this performance. In addition, the stage action is enriched with a number of choreographic compositions, which were embodied by the artistic director of the theater's ballet troupe, Aniko Rekhviashvili. Conductor-producer - Mykola Dyadyura, choirmaster-producer - Bohdan Plish.
