In the Solomyan district, the Chokoliv communication collector is being reconstructed and the water and heat networks laid in it. This will ensure the reliability of the supply of thermal energy and drinking water to the residents of the Solomyan district and avoid emergency situations.
According to the Department of Housing and Communal Services, in 2016, an inspection of the collector was carried out, as a result of which it was found: the structure is in an unfit for operation technical condition, and some of the covering plates are in an emergency condition. In this connection, it was decided to carry out a complex of capital works at this object.
"The reconstruction of the collector will prevent its flooding, the collapse of certain sections of structures, which can lead to the termination of water supply, electricity and heating to the residents of a large part of residential buildings, preschools, educational institutions, hospitals and certain enterprises and institutions of the city," said the deputy head of the KMDA Petro Panteleev .
The actual technical condition of the collector, built in the 70s of the last century, was confirmed by the results of its thorough examination conducted by specialists of the construction laboratory of KP "Kyivzhitlospetseksploatsiya" and SE "Research Institute of Building Structures".
The approximate cost of the reconstruction is estimated at 100 million UAH, 19 million UAH is needed for the laying of water supply networks and 90 million UAH for heating networks. This year, the Program of Economic and Social Development of the City of Kyiv for 2017 provides almost UAH 6,8 million for the implementation of works.
"From an economic and technical point of view, it is more expedient to comprehensively reconstruct engineering networks, in particular water supply and heating networks. In view of this, the reconstruction of the collector is planned to be carried out in an open way," added Panteleev.
