The Kyiv City Prosecutor's Office reported suspicion of a completed fraud attempt (Part 2 of Article 15, Part 5 of Article 190 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) to the leader of one of the liquidated political parties. This was reported by the Prosecutor General's Office.
Scheme details:
-
The essence of the deception: The 41-year-old Kyiv resident invited citizens to join his political project and guaranteed a "passing place" on the electoral list for the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
-
Additional "authority": During the meetings, the defendant handed out his own business cards, which indicated that he was a candidate for President of Ukraine.
-
Question price: The attacker assessed his political career in $ 160 ($100 thousand is the "entry fee", and $60 thousand is supposedly for the development of the party structure).
Detention and preventive measure:
Law enforcement officers detained the man (pursuant to Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine) immediately upon receiving the entire amount in the amount of $ 160.
The court has already chosen a preventive measure for the suspect — custody with the alternative of depositing a deposit of 6 million 725 thousand hryvnias.
The pre-trial investigation is being conducted by investigators of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Kyiv with operational support from the SBU's Special Investigation Department.
