Kateryna Yesypchuk will go down in the history of the capital's subway as the first woman to hold the position of train driver. Her path to this profession began in September, when she joined a group of 25 students of the metro driver training course.

There were 4 women among the students, but only Kateryna completed her studies. The other girls left the courses for a number of reasons: difficult work schedules, requirements for successful passing of exams, or dissatisfaction with the level of salary.

Kateryna overcame all difficulties and demonstrated a high level of training, becoming an example of perseverance and determination. Her achievement is an important step in overcoming gender stereotypes in traditionally "male" professions and demonstrates the opportunities for women to build a career in any field.
