Municipal Corporation "Kyivavtodor" continues to implement innovative technologies in its work. It has been several days on the street. Bohdan Khmelnytskyi (in the area of the German Embassy) work is ongoing on the installation of colored paving stones in the form of marking 1.14.3 "Pedestrian Crossing" in red and white.

As the corporation emphasizes, marking on surfaces such as cobblestones is a common problem. In Europe, in the central historical parts of cities, road markings are paved with cobblestones.

The reason is weak adhesion of paint materials and stones. As a result, the horizontal markings applied with the help of special paints and plastics wear out very quickly under the influence of car wheels.

That is why the municipal corporation "Kyivavtodor" approached the solution of this issue in a new way, arranging road markings from red and white cobblestones made of reinforced concrete with a thickness of 12 cm. Glass balls were also used when applying special paints. Thanks to special technologies, the tile coating has a roughness that meets the requirements of traffic safety standards. The guarantee for the tile is at least 10 years.

It is significant that budget funds were not spent on the purchase of paving stones: the materials for the experiment were provided free of charge by one of the concrete manufacturers in the capital.
