Municipal corporation "Kyivavtodor" carries out preventive filling of road surface cracks. This was stated by the general director of KK "Kyivavtodor" Oleksandr Gustelev during the briefing.

According to him, every week, depending on the weather conditions, 9-12 thousand linear meters of the road surface are "covered with patterns" made of special bituminous mastic, which allows to prevent premature destruction of the road surface and extend its service life.

In addition, "Kyivavtodor" continues to equip pedestrian crossings with red and white FEMs of increased strength on cobblestones. Road workers arrange elevated pedestrian crossings on the asphalt concrete surface.

"We plan to arrange 41 elevated pedestrian crossings this year. Such transitions provide additional safety and convenience of movement, because they force drivers of vehicles to reduce their speed in front of them. In addition, these transitions are very convenient for people with limited physical abilities and families with small children. That is why such transitions, first of all, are arranged near schools, kindergartens and other objects of social infrastructure. By the end of July, "Kyivavtodor" had already arranged 21 such transfers," Oleksandr Gustelev said.
