Kyiv Mayor Vitaly Klychko appealed to the Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman with a request to help the capital and finance in the amount of 400 million hryvnias the construction of two important infrastructural facilities for Kyiv: the Podilsk-Voskresensky bridge over the Dnipro and the Syretsk-Pechersk metro line from the station "Syrets" on the Vynogradar housing estate. With the corresponding initiative, Klitschko spoke at the government meeting.
"For the implementation of important infrastructure projects, I am asking you, Volodymyr Borysovych, for instructions to allocate to the city of Kyiv funds from the State Budget for social and economic development in the amount of 200 million hryvnias for the continuation of the construction of the Podilsko-Voskresen bridge crossing and 200 million hryvnias for the construction of the Syretsko-Pecherska section of the Metro line from the Syrets station to the Vynogradar housing estate," said Vitaliy Klitschko.
He noted that the construction of such important facilities stimulates the development of public transport and infrastructure of the capital. And also - it creates additional jobs and makes it possible to attract the production capacities of domestic industrial enterprises.
In turn, Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman gave the necessary instructions to the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Infrastructure, all specialized structures, together with the KMDA, to work out the technical possibilities of providing financial support for the implementation of two important infrastructure projects.
