Since November 9, unscheduled inspections of carriers serving bus routes operating in the mode of a shuttle taxi have been ongoing. The Department of Transport Infrastructure of the KMDA, together with the State Service of Ukraine for Transport Safety and the patrol police, continue raids in the city. During this period, 12 carriers were checked.

In the course of inspections, violations were found and acts were drawn up for routes No. 201, 459, 421, 581, 464, 565, 518, 416.

Among the violations are the absence of protocols for mandatory technical inspection of vehicles, temporary registration documents for vehicles, insurance policies, damaged seats, presence of foreign objects in the cabin, etc.

"We will terminate contracts with two carriers. During this week of inspections, acts were drawn up for 7 carriers, in which violations were found. The problem is that carriers are not at all afraid of punishment, because the fines that Ukrtransbezpeka and the National Police can currently issue are small - 200, 500 and 1000 hryvnias. Therefore, it is now extremely necessary to make changes to the legislation in order to strengthen the responsibility of carriers for violations of the safety requirements of passenger transportation," said Serhiy Simonov, director of the Department of Transport Infrastructure.

The Office of the State Service for Combating Economic Crime in Kyiv was involved in the inspection of illegal carriers that used routes No. 238, 412, 597, 501, 507 despite the order of the Department of Transport Infrastructure to close them.
