New investigation by the publication hromadske exposed dubious real estate schemes of the Deputy Head of the State Bureau of Investigation (SBI) Dmitry Buznitsky. The official and his family became owners of luxury housing in the capital for the price of a loaf of bread.
Key findings of the investigation:

Who is Dmytro Buznitsky?
Since 2023, Buznytsky has held the position of deputy head of the territorial department of the State Bureau of Investigation in Lviv. Before that, he served in the SBU for over 10 years (he resigned in 2020), and later worked in the structure of Energoatom. Despite changing jobs, he continued to use the SBU's official housing until its "buyout."
The scale of family real estate
The official's wife, Alla Prodan, demonstrates impressive activity in the premium real estate market:

Residential complex "French Quarter 2": purchased an apartment in 2018.

Estate near Kiev: exchanged an apartment in a residential complex for a house with an area of 325 square. m, which in 2024 sold for 11,3 million UAH.

Residential complex "52 Perlyna": in the same year 2024, she became the owner of an apartment with an area of almost 150 square. m.

Residential complex Jack House: received a share in the property with an area of 52,6 square. m for the mentioned 9,47 UAH.
Legal manipulations
According to Ukrainian legislation, the right to free privatization of housing can only be exercised onceInvestigators found out that Buznitsky privatized a share of an apartment in Kaniv back in 1994 (at the age of 18).
However, in 2014, he challenged his own privatization of 20 years ago in court. The court revoked his ownership of 1/4 of the apartment in Kaniv, which formally allowed him to once again claim “free” housing from the state in Kyiv.
SBI reaction: Channel 24 journalists contacted the Bureau for an official comment. The agency responded succinctly: "No comments at this time."
Context: Against the backdrop of the intensified fight against corruption in law enforcement agencies, such facts of privatization for next to nothing are causing heated public debate.
