The team of developers of the city application "Kyiv Digital" presented a new functionality in the "Maps" section, focused on cyclists. Against the background of the active development of the bicycle network in the capital, such a tool will help users better navigate the types of coverage and traffic patterns.
The main feature of the update was integration with the service 1551Now users can not only plot routes, but also quickly report infrastructure deficiencies (for example, damage or obstacles on the tracks) by clicking on the corresponding mark.
The map displays:
-
Network geography: from local bike lanes to highway corridors.
-
Directions of movement: Visual markings will help you avoid crossing into the oncoming lane.
-
Parking locations: current data on city bicycle parking.
Since the Paton Bridge now has restrictions (which we wrote about earlier), it is worth reminding that cycling can be a good alternative for crossing the Dnieper (via the Pedestrian Bridge or adjacent crossings), and the new map will help you find a safe approach to them.
