The city has appealed to the Cabinet of Ministers and the Verkhovna Rada with a request for financial support for measures aimed at preparing for the next heating season. The capital states that it will be extremely difficult to independently provide full financing for the complex of works to increase energy efficiency.

This was stated by Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko. According to him, the capital is already implementing a number of projects: in particular, it is building duplicate boiler houses and working on creating a backup water supply.

Klitschko noted that the city is looking for additional sources of funding to implement the measures of the resilience plan and is counting on parity participation from the state. In this regard, the Kyiv City Council has decided to officially appeal to the government and parliament for financial assistance.

According to the mayor, the implementation of this plan is designed for several years, but the priority is to quickly address key needs in terms of heat and electricity supply on the eve of next winter.

At the same time, Klitschko emphasized: without state support, it will be difficult to implement large-scale measures due to limited financial, time, and personnel resources.

It was previously reported that the capital summed up the results of the implementation of the Program for the Economic and Social Development of the City of Kyiv for 2024–2026 for 2025.
