The residence of fugitive President Viktor Yanukovych is scheduled to open for visitors next month.

"The park plans to open its doors to visitors in May. The date of the official opening will be announced soon," the ministry said.
It is worth reminding that recently the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine made a decision to transfer to the management of the state institution the assets "Park - a monument of garden and park art of national significance "Mezhihirya", which was seized in criminal proceedings. Also, measures have already been taken to transfer land parcels from the management of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and movable property from the National Agency for Identification, Search and Asset Management to the Monument Park. In particular, we are talking about paintings, cars, furniture, machinery, equipment, etc., which finally opened up opportunities for 100 percent return of "Mezhyhirya" to state ownership.
Currently, a special administration "Mezhihirya" has already been created, which takes care of the preparation of all necessary documents.
After the official opening of Mezhihirya Park, all funds from its operation will go to the state budget, and, accordingly, to the financing of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
We will remind you that in the summer of last year, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted in the second reading the government draft law, which provides for the creation of a park-monument of horticultural art of national importance on the basis of the estate of fugitive ex-president Viktor Yanukovych "Mezhyhirya".
