At the first stage of the relaxation of restrictive measures, ground public transport in the capital will operate in a limited mode. And the subway will be opened according to the government's decision. Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko announced this during an online press conference.

"Ground public transport will work in the first stage in a limited mode. Until May 22 for sure. But we will increase the number of routes to those areas that are not well covered today. The increase in routes will apply to electric transport. And the business that will start work must solve the issue of transporting its employees to the place of work. As I have repeatedly said, the subway will be opened by the government's decision. And it won't happen right away," said the mayor of the capital.

Vitaliy Klitschko added that the government promised to start suburban transport first - with the beginning of easing of restrictive measures.
