The initiator of the action and the author of the idea All-Ukrainian charitable initiative “Pysanka of Unity” Natalia Fedorchuk became the head of the International Women's Movement "For Family Values".
11,278 people from all regions of Ukraine and 39 countries of the world joined the project. The youngest participant was only 6 months old, the oldest was 96 years old.
Each participant created their own element of the ornament for a month, either offline or online. Later, all the parts were combined into a single composition, which was called "Pysanka of Unity" and symbolizes the unity of Ukrainians and the connection of generations.
According to the head of the International Women's Movement "For Family Values" and the author of the idea of the All-Ukrainian charitable initiative "Pysanka Yednannia" Natalia Fedorchuk, the main goal of the initiative was to unite Ukrainians around the world. Also, such an action was held in order, in particular, to show the world community that, despite four years of war, Ukrainians are fighting not only for their land, for their history, but also for their culture, notes Public.
"These are 11,278 people in 39 countries around the world, in all regions of Ukraine, including the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol, who supported this initiative," her comment says.
According to the organizers, the project lasted only a month, but it brought together thousands of people around the tradition of Easter eggs. Participants not only painted Easter eggs, but also studied the meanings of symbols and colors.
The idea of the ornament, according to the initiators, was laid by the People's Master of Ukraine Volodymyr Karakots.
“It (the “Unity Egg” — ed.) has only three colors, but it has such a deep meaning. The black color is honoring ancestors and traditions, the brown color is our land on which we stand, which gives us the opportunity to be a people in our own free state. And the yellow color is prosperity, it is well-being, it is happiness, well-being and protection of higher powers. And in this egg, there is a dot inside, we have invested victory in 2026,” Fedorchuk said.
