Among Ukrainian employers, specialists in blue-collar professions will be in the greatest demand in 2025. These are the results of a labor market study conducted jointly by the Swiss organization Helvetas Swiss Intercooperation, the State Employment Service, and the Federation of Employers of Ukraine.

Leaders of the ranking of popular professions

The list of the most in-demand professions includes agricultural tractor drivers, mechanic repairmen, electric and gas welders, electricians, medical brothers and sisters, drivers of motor vehicles, and seamstresses. These specialties will become priorities for training programs for the unemployed and combatants organized by the State Employment Service.

Salary expectations and employers' plans

According to the study's findings, about 35% of employers in Ukraine plan to increase salaries in 2025. However, a significant portion of job seekers have inflated financial expectations, which leads to an imbalance between real offers on the labor market and candidate requests.

"A significant portion of applicants have unrealistic financial expectations, which creates a gap between demand and supply in the labor market."

In addition, The opendatabase has published a ranking of the largest employers in Ukraine in 2025. The top 10 includes seven state-owned or state-controlled companies and three private enterprises. For the fourth year in a row, Ukrzaliznytsia is the leader, employing 178 employees, although this number has decreased by 616% compared to last year. Second place is occupied by ATB-Market with 5 employees, which is 46 more than last year, and third is Gas Distribution Networks of Ukraine, which employs 084 people, which indicates an increase of 2 jobs.
