From July 15, 2026, new fares for municipal public transport will come into effect in Kyiv. The corresponding order was signed by the city mayor Vitaliy Klitschko. The basic cost of one trip on the metro, bus, tram, trolleybus and funicular will be 30 UAH.
The main reason for the unpopular step in the Kyiv City State Administration is the critical increase in transportation costs, the rise in the price of electricity and fuel, as well as the need to maintain transport infrastructure in wartime conditions. It should be noted that tariffs in the capital have not been revised since 2018.
