A new fare has been in effect in the capital's municipal public transport since July 15, 2026. A single trip on the metro, bus, tram, trolleybus and funicular now costs 30 UAH.

Despite the sharp increase in cost, the city authorities have retained all existing social benefits, and have also introduced a system of discounts for regular passengers and a new transfer ticket.

Transition period and 90-minute ticket

  • Old trips for 8 UAH: All tickets purchased up to and including July 14 remain valid. until September 14, 2026After this date, unused trips will be canceled, and their nominal value (8 UAH per trip) will be automatically returned to the cash balance of your card or the "Kyiv Digital" application.

  • "90-minute ticket" (from August 1): It will cost 60 UAH and will allow unlimited transfers to any public transport within an hour and a half from the moment of first validation.

Package discounts: how to pay less

By purchasing trips in bulk on a transport card, passengers can significantly reduce the cost of travel.

Importantly: You can purchase a package of no more than 50 trips at a time, and the total limit on the card balance cannot exceed 100 trips.

Who is entitled to free and discounted travel?

All benefits for vulnerable categories of citizens are fully covered by the budget of the territorial community of Kyiv.

Free travel (with documents):

  • Pensioners by age (if you have a "Kyiv resident card");

  • War veterans and combatants (according to the UBD certificate);

  • Persons with disabilities (in accordance with established groups and current legislation);

  • Students (schoolchildren) (free during the school year with a student ID; special discounted rates apply in the summer);

  • Orphaned children and children deprived of parental care;

  • Members of large families (children and one of the parents with appropriate certificates);

  • Victims of the Chernobyl accident (classified into categories 1 and 2).

Discounted travel:

  • Students of higher education institutions and vocational schools: retain the right to 50% discount when purchasing monthly student travel tickets.
