KMDA is going to prepare Kyiv cemeteries for memorial days. The Department of Housing and Communal Infrastructure is tasked to take care of timely cleaning of garbage and waste removal, removal of emergency trees, crowning and removal of mistletoe, preparation and start-up of irrigation water pipes, repair and painting of fences, gates, gates, arches, facades, curbs, public toilets, containers for garbage, etc. Military burials and memorials are also arranged.
Also, the Department of Health Protection will traditionally ensure the duty of emergency medical teams on memorial days at the Southern, Northern, Forest, Baikovo and City cemeteries.
Financing of the relevant expenses will be carried out at the expense of general expenses for the improvement of city cemeteries, provided by the Department of Housing and Communal Infrastructure.
So, this year, the following dates have been determined for commemoration days in Kyiv:
April 23 – at the Pyrogivskyi, Korchuvatskyi, Mysholovskyi, Chapaivskyi, Northern, Lisovo, Pushcha-Vodytskyi, Southern, Svyatoshynskyi, Bratskyi, Mykhailivskyi, Solomyanskyi, Sovskyi, Shulyavskyi, Staroabryadnyi cemeteries, as well as in the State Historical and Memorial Lukyanivskyi Reserve ;
April 24 – at the Darnytskyi, Poznyakivskyi, Bortnychanskyi, Vygurivskyi, Troyeshchynskyi, Zvirynetskyi, Kurenivskyi, Bilichanskyi and Zhulyanskyi cemeteries;
April 25 – at the Baikovo and Bykivnyansky cemeteries, RS SKP "Kyiv Crematorium";
April 26 – at the City Cemetery;
May 9 – at the Military Cemetery and near the Memorial on the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in the Park of Eternal Glory.
