Mayor of Kyiv Vitaliy Klychko inspected the site near the "Demiivska" metro station, where soil development work is underway in the pit. In two weeks, it will be possible to see the upper part of the tunnel and whether the technology of its construction was followed.
This was reported by the head of the capital Telegram.
"Today I inspected the site near the Demiivska metro station, where Demiivskaz is continuing to develop the soil in the pit. 60 workers and more than 10 pieces of equipment work at the site in three shifts," Klitschko noted.
"Then experts will be able to draw conclusions about the cause of the threat of an emergency situation in the Demiivska tunnel," Klitschko emphasized.
He added that necessary work is also ongoing in the tunnel itself - both for its strengthening and for further repairs.
As Klitschko reported, according to the estimate of the contracting organization, about 40% of the total volume of work has been completed today.
"We are doing everything possible to fully restore traffic between Demiivska and Lybidska stations at the end of the summer," the mayor assured.
It should be noted that Maksym Shkil, the owner of the Avtostrada group of companies, which is carrying out preparatory work, said that the resumption of operation of the transfer tunnel between the Lybidska and Demiivska subway stations of the capital is planned for the fall. Currently, restoration work is being carried out both inside the tunnel and outside.
