On Thursday, On March 12, energy consumption restrictions will be introduced in all regions of Ukraine. Hourly outage schedules and capacity restrictions will be in effect from 17:00 to 23:00, but they will only apply to industrial consumers.

This was officially reported by the press service of NPC Ukrenergo.

The main thing about restrictions:

  • Time of action: 17: 00 - 23: 00.

  • Who it concerns: industrial enterprises and business.

  • Household consumers: There are currently no restrictions for the population.

Reason for restrictions: Power shortage in the power system caused by the consequences of Russian missile and drone attacks on generation facilities and the network.

Current situation in the power system

Energy experts emphasize that the situation remains dynamic. As of the morning of March 11, power outages due to shelling have already been recorded in three regions:

  1. Donetsk

  2. Dnipropetrovsk

  3. Kharkivska
