On Sunday, June 16, the Equality March was held in Kyiv, the action lasted 30 minutes.
NGO "KyivPride" reports this on Facebook, transmits Ukrinform.
"More than 500 people took part in the March. Among them is a column of LGBTQ+ military personnel with the ArmUkraineNow banner. During the March, we all together thanked the military for the opportunity to live in Ukraine and continue to fight for our rights," the message reads.
Representatives of diplomatic missions also took part in the action. Among the people's deputies, only Dmytro Gurin attended the Kyiv Pride March.
It is noted that the police significantly limited the route of the action and allowed participants to walk only 100 meters. In general, the whole action lasted 30 minutes.
According to the report, the participants of the march called on the international community to provide Ukraine with weapons, chanted slogans calling for the adoption of draft law No. 5488 "On Amendments to the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offenses and the Criminal Code of Ukraine on Combating Manifestations of Discrimination" and No. 9103 "On the Institute of Registered Partnerships" .
As reported, the last Equality March was held in Kyiv in 2021.
