Almost forgotten dishes of Ukrainian cuisine

This is a simple cookie that was made from fresh dough on an egg and whey or buttermilk. The dough for verguns was prepared as a thin cake, cut into rectangles or rhombuses, in which an internal incision was made. Verguns were prepared by girls at evening parties, housewives for carolers, midwives for grandchildren.

Municipal schools in Kyiv have started accepting applications from parents about enrolling their children in the first grades. This was reported in the press service KMDA.

This year, documents are accepted not only in person, but also electronically or by mail. Acceptance of documents will continue until May 31.

As always, the main criterion for enrolling a child in first grade will be territorial accessibility. In other words, the addresses where the children live are assigned to certain schools. The KMDA emphasized that no contributions to charitable funds or training in preparatory courses can become a priority factor for enrollment.

A statement from one of the parents is sufficient to enroll a child in the first grade of school. You can write it and bring it to the educational institution yourself, personally provide scanned copies or photocopies, or send them by e-mail to the school address. Original documents, including medical certificates, can be submitted later.
