A night-time combined attack by Russian forces dealt a serious blow to the regional power system of the Kyiv region. A series of powerful explosions caused significant damage to infrastructure and caused a temporary blackout in the northern part of the capital and several districts of the region.

DTEK power engineers, together with rescuers from the State Emergency Service, have been working in an intensive mode since the very morning, eliminating the consequences of the shelling.

First recovery results

Thanks to the prompt work of emergency crews, the situation on the main lines was partially stabilized:

  • Overall by region: DTEK restored power supply to 300 thousand families in Kyiv and the region.

  • In the capital: The lights have already been turned back on in the homes. 105 thousand families.

Where there is still no light: current situation by district (as of 15:00 p.m.)

In total, about 140 subscribers were left without electricity due to the nightly shelling. Repair work at local nodes is ongoing.

About 100,000 people remain without power in the capital. 35 thousand householdsLimitations and emergency shutdowns are recorded in:

  • Nearby residential areas Podilsky district.

Kyiv region

The region has introduced emergency power outages. Missile and drone debris, as well as direct hits, damaged local distribution networks in five areas:

  • Brovarsky,

  • Boryspilskyi,

  • Vyshgorodskyi,

  • Fastivskyi,

  • Buchanskyi.

Energy experts emphasize that repairs will continue continuously until the networks are fully restored. Residents of the region are urged to consume electricity moderately after its return, if possible, so as not to overload the surviving lines.
