З July 27 to 31 Sofia Kyivska National Reserve is holding a children's educational project for the third time "Summer in Sofia"The program is designed for children aged from 7 to 13 years and will continue daily from 10:00 to 14:00.
Over the course of five days, participants will explore St. Sophia Cathedral, learn about museum professions, decipher ancient graffiti, and participate in creative workshops.

Day 1: Immersion in the Middle Ages

Interactive tour "Sophia of Kyiv: First Introduction" with a visit to the closed corners of the cathedral.

Trying on the prince and princess' costumes.

Interactive "Felt Fairy Tale": creating a princely image and recreating the life of a medieval Kyivan.

Day 2: Restoration and archaeology

Introduction to the profession of a ceramics restorer.

Day 3: Secrets of a tour guide and drawing

Visiting the scientific library in the Consistory building.

A review of rare editions over 150 years old and a facsimile of the 11th-century Rheims Gospel.

Day 5: Bell Tower, Park and Museum Director

Introduction to the work of the museum director and a tour of the St. Sophia Bell Tower.

Practice with a gardener: arranging a flower bed, caring for bushes and the Anna of Kyivska rose bush near Malaya (Teploa) Sofia.
