The Ukrainian labor market has seen a steady trend of salary increases. According to leading personnel portals and the State Statistics Service, the average salary in Ukraine has increased by approximately 20 % and has now confidently crossed the mark in 30 thousand hryvnias. However, in some industries, due to acute shortages of personnel and technological development, the growth is much higher.
Labor market trends were analyzed by presenters Daria Kudimova and Denis Minin on the air of the program "Morning at Home" on the "Dim" TV channel.
Artificial intelligence is the absolute growth leader
The most rapid dynamics were demonstrated by the technological sector, associated with the latest developments. Salaries for artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning professionals have increased by 73 %.

Maximum income: Specialists who are directly involved in the architecture and development of complex AI solutions for the commercial sector can expect fees in the hundreds of thousands of hryvnias.
Staff shortage drives up workers' salaries
The most interesting trend of the current year is the emergence of blue-collar professions as leaders in terms of income, which allows them to compete with the IT sector. Due to the departure of specialists abroad and mobilization processes, a significant personnel shortage has formed in the market, so businesses are forced to pay more to attract craftsmen:

Bricklayers — today they receive on average 60 hryvnias per month;

Tilers — earn more than 57 hryvnias;

Furniture production technologists — have an average salary of about 55 hryvnias.
In addition to construction and manufacturing, a steady increase in payments is recorded in the agricultural sector, education, and the social sphere. Employers have completely changed their approach to hiring: the key factor in keeping a business afloat is the willingness to invest in qualified personnel and offer competitive market salaries from the first day of work.
