1. AQI (Air Quality Index)
This is the overall International Air Quality Index. It translates complex chemical data into a simple scale from 0 to 500 points:
- 0–50 (Green) — Clean air. Everything is fine, no health risks.
- 51–100 (Yellow) — Satisfactory. Sensitive people should reduce prolonged exertion.
- 101–150 (Orange) — Harmful to sensitive groups. Children and people with asthma — limit walks.
- 151–200 (Red) — Dangerous for everyone. Close windows, turn on air purifier.
- 201+ (Purple) — Very dangerous. Go outside only if absolutely necessary.
2. PM2.5 and PM10
PM2.5 — fine dust (less than 2.5 microns). Gets into the lungs and blood. The main indicator of urban smog.
PM10 — larger dust particles (up to 10 microns). Irritating to the respiratory tract and eyes.
3. Radiation background
