Yandex.Navigator started warning drivers about speeding. The application knows about speed limits not only on different roads, but also on different sections of the same road and warns about exceeding with a sound signal. In addition, the speed limit in the area is now displayed on the device screen.
The new option will come in handy, for example, if the driver has entered a settlement and it is time for him to reduce speed. By default, the warning signal sounds when the speed is exceeded by 15 km / h - so that the driver can brake in time. The exceedance threshold can be changed in the Navigator settings.
Data on speed limits in Kyiv were collected by staff cartographers. So far, the new feature has been launched only in the capital and the region, and in other cities of Ukraine it works in test mode.
This spring, the Navigator learned to warn drivers by voice about accidents and road works on the route, as well as to inform in which row the event happened, so that the driver could move to a free row in advance. In addition, now the traffic jam data on the route is updated every hundred seconds, which is immediately reflected in the arrival forecast.
