The heating season begins in Kyiv on October 9. Petro Panteleev, deputy mayor, stated this at a press briefing at the KMDA.
"First of all, heat is started in schools and kindergartens, in other institutions of the social sphere," said Panteleev. According to him, all social facilities are ready for connection and will receive heat within 4-5 days.
"After that, we will plan to connect residential buildings, but it happens according to the law, after the average daily temperature for three days in a row is less than 8 degrees Celsius. We have a hydrometeorological forecast. The forecast does not predict such conditions in the coming days, so for now we will concentrate on the objects of the social sphere", - stressed the deputy head of the KMDA.
Panteleev also stated that the wear and tear of networks has reached 70-80% and is increasing every year by 15%. About 1000 houses remain without hot water, and in Obolon there are as many as 200 of them, as the wear and tear of the networks there is very high.
