Almost forgotten dishes of Ukrainian cuisine

This is a simple cookie that was made from fresh dough on an egg and whey or buttermilk. The dough for verguns was prepared as a thin cake, cut into rectangles or rhombuses, in which an internal incision was made. Then they twisted the inside of the cut once or twice and fried it in boiling oil until golden. Verguns were prepared by girls at evening parties, housewives for carolers, midwives for grandchildren.

The Kyiv Metro does not plan to close the Pochayna and Tarasa Shevchenko metro stations for passengers. Capital repairs between these stations will be carried out without stopping trains. This was reported by KMDA.

The message states that the overhaul of the tunnels between these stations, which was planned in advance, will be carried out without stopping the movement of trains. Currently, these stations and distillation tunnels are operating as usual.

Earlier, the mass media reported with reference to "sources in the KMDA" that "Taras Shevchenko" and "Pochaina" were allegedly being prepared for closure.

"According to the tender for the development of project documentation held in November 2023, a working project of planned major repairs between these stations without stopping the movement of trains is being developed. However, the final project decisions will be determined after passing the state expertise," the utility company emphasized.

The KMDA assured that passengers will be informed in advance about the start of major repairs and other works that may affect the subway's operating mode.
