A significant fish kill has occurred in a lake in Kotsiubynske, resulting in a strong, unpleasant odor. The head of the Kotsiubynske community, Serhii Danish, has officially declared the body of water unsuitable for swimming and fishing. He has also strongly advised residents to keep their pets away from the lake.
Last week, representatives from the police and environmental services visited the site to investigate the concerning situation. Unfortunately, efforts to save the fish were unsuccessful.
“We will see in the spring. We will take samples to determine if the lake is fit for swimming,” reported the head of the Kotsiubynske community.
